Meeting
The Accessibility at the Edge Community Group explores ways to improve digital accessibility beyond source code changes. We focus on “post-source” technologies—such as edge computing, content delivery networks (CDNs), browser extensions, and JavaScript-based adaptations—that dynamically enhance accessibility without needing to touch the original web codebase.
This group welcomes participation from engineers, researchers, end users, advocates, accessibility profeessionals and anyone curious about emerging tools that close accessibility gaps in real time. Whether it’s adding missing alt text, tweaking styles for better readability, or injecting custom code to improve assistive tech compatibility, we’re here to map the landscape and define the capabilities—existing and future.
We discuss overlays, automation, personalization, and responsible implementation of post-source, edge-layer remediations. We are open to understanding a new paradigm.
Meetings follow the W3C Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
