Meeting
Agenda
Proposed agenda from APA (this contains the issues posted when the meeting was requested, plus a couple of things that have come up since):
- Proof of concept demo of WAI-Adapt Symbols work - bringing AAC symbols to web content, to help people understand it better. We want to demonstrate the work we did based on the recommended Unicode-and-fonts approach, and talk about experience, questions, and issues such as:
- Authoring and Developer experience
- Path to implementation for symbol sets
- Privacy issues
- Question: Update on HTML-in-Canvas accessibility from WHATWG's perspective.
- We're primarily interested in: what's being worked on; what remains to be done; and which areas are challenging regarding accessibility.
- Flagging up the increased interest in sync media (Accessible Synchronized Multimedia for Publishing Community Group) and related use cases APA sees.
- We would also like to demonstrate our latest work on 'discoverable destinations' (common pages of sites that are semantically signposted - think something like 'ARIA landmark regions for sites, as opposed to pages')
